The Basics

Increased Social and Community Participation supports focus on building the everyday skills needed to participate in community life with greater independence and confidence. Support may include communication development, decision-making practice, planning community access, and encouragement to engage in recreational or group activities.

Services are delivered through secure Telehealth, offering structured support to build practical skills for social interaction, joining activities, or pursuing hobbies and interests. Community participation is a personal journey, and supports are developed in partnership with each participant to reflect their goals for a more connected life.

Who Is It For?

Increased Social and Community Participation supports are available to NDIS participants who are seeking greater connection, social engagement, or involvement in recreational, cultural, or community activities. These supports can assist people who experience barriers to participating in the community due to disability, communication differences, social anxiety, or limited access to social opportunities.

Participants often seek this support when looking to strengthen friendships, attend social groups, build self-confidence, or reconnect with community life after a period of isolation.
Support is adapted to the individual’s strengths and interests, helping each participant build meaningful skills for long-term community involvement.
